Jack Li was born in Taishan, a coastal city located in southern China. His love for music started at the age of 10, inspired by Jay Chou, a popular Chinese artist at the time. He started to sing and was chosen to be in the choir of his elementary school. Two years later, he immigrated to America with his parents and at the age of 15, his parents signed him up for classical guitar lessons. In addition, Jack started to learn the acoustic guitar by himself. After graduating from high school, Jack attended a community college for music majors and was chosen to sing, with a 6-person vocal group, in the graduation ceremony for two years. In the meantime, he joined/co-founded three bands and started his journey with electric guitar, cooperated with New York University’s CSSA as a session guitarist, and co-hosted Understage, a singing show at Highline Ballroom, and performed with his band Spicy Jsus. In 2021 he graduated from Berklee College of Music, where he studied between 2018-2021 as a Contemporary Writing & Production major. He is dedicated to put more freshness into his music and be a one-of-a-kind producer.
